A Robert Kacher Selection
Domaine de la Petite Cassagne Rouge
Rated 88 Wine Advocate #185
The 2007 red, a blend of 47% Grenache and equal parts Carignan and Syrah, all fermented and aged in tank, is a sleeper selection. Deep ruby/purple-tinged with lots of cassis, raspberry, licorice, and forest floor, the wine exhibits excellent ripeness, a delicious, silky mid-palate, and a good finish. This is a very good bargain and worth drinking over the next two years.
“The Robert Kacher name on a bottle of wine is as close to an endorsement of quality as one is likely to find in a complicated world of wine.” Robert M. Parker, Jr. The Wine Advocate

Diane de Puymorin’s Domaine de la Petite Cassagne wines are wonderfully well made whites, reds and roses. Not only will you love trying her Petite Cassagne wines, but know that she is the only Costieres de Nimes producer who holds back her RED wines a whole year before release so that they can be best appreciated and enjoyed.
To see Diane’s real winemaking skill in all its glory, try her Chateau D’Or et de Gueles wines, such as, her Bollida cuvee and her Qu’es Quo wines!! Lovely well made wines that beautifully showcase her vineyards 80 year old Mourvedre and Carignan vines.
